On American committment et al.[edit source]
The problem I have with it is that there's no humor. It's really unsubtle, humorless criticism. There's an example of it on HTBFANJS. While it's cretainly not crass or bitter, it really lacks the sort of panache that it needs to make it funny.
- Take this excerpt, for example:
The Bush administration interprets the "all men" who have rights under the Declaration to mean "Americans whom the government does not yet suspect of thinking badly about the Godly Bush administration." It is clear that the Bush administration believes that no non-American has any rights, and furthermore Americans who do not toe the Bush line have no rights either.
It's really not funny at all. It's more like an angry tirade, and, to be honest, sounds more like an argument to prove a thesis than a comedy piece.
In fact, upon closer inspection, all I can see this piece as is argumentation, and not humor. Believe me, I don't liek the Bush administration much myself; I'm not deleting it based on my own political inclinations. It's purely Quality Assurance We like to deal in misinformation and bias; however, this site isn't a soapbox. It's a comedy club stage. So you can be opinionated all you want; it just has to be funny. I'm going to have delete it after I send this.--Sir Flammable KUN (Na Naaaaa...) 21:51, 27 February 2006 (UTC)

Just to clarify, you can vote for several articles. And there's no point in voting for previously featured articles, as the VFH page says. - Sikon 01:22, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
