At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:IP83.70.240.253/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! First a wee favour, I'm European and a cultural misunderstanding appears to have got my IP blocked for 24 hours by an Admin whose name starts with "M". That was only half an hour back but I was only a humble IP back then and hadn't read the rules - this seemed like the sort of place where blanking the odd page would be no, like, Big Deal. Now that I am wiser could you have a word with "M" and asking him lift the intemperate block?

Managed to trace the miscreant - his name is ModusOperandi. Mind I'm not sure what I'm blocked from as I was able to leave a pithy plea for parole on his page. No cute little emoticons around here? IP83.70.240.253 15:48, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
