Scores and review from Shabidoo[edit source]

Originality: 3/10

The use of infomercials for elections was a nice original touch. Apart from that there isn't that much originality in the article as there are many articles on uncyclopedia which say how dumb things are.

Creativity: 4/10

I can't give you too many points for creativity because you didn't really do anything creative with the topic. You could have written an unexpected article or a different theme. It often requires randomly thinking of different things (unrelated things) until something pops in your head and you go...huh...that might work. I give you a few points for mixing lots of different ideas however as they weren't strongly developed they're only a few points.

Humour: 2/10

The 1.800.buy.this image was funny.

Final Score: 9/30
Suggestions:

A good article, in my humble opinion needs some kind of concept. It doesn't have to be specific but it should at least frame the article. Saying in many different ways that infomercials are stupid isn't really much of a concept. There are so many things you could do with the topic. You could go into how deceptive they are. You could achieve that by giving fake examples of infomercials which make blatantly impossible claims like a blender that could do your taxes. You could document cases where some people slightly overspend watching infomercials buying things they don't need like a 90 year old grandmother buying 20 different g-strings to go to the beach. Also, be careful with using foul language. It can be used well in absolute moderation but "FUCK YOU COMPANIES" is kind of a purposeless explicative. You could definitely go with the presidents using infomercials in their campaigns (that could be very interesting). You could have an entire article about the presidents making infomercials trying to sell their presidencies with the product being what they offer. Trump selling enormous MAGA hats or Biden selling dementia pills (for example). It was a good image to use but there is a missing space in the top left which you could add your own image to (perhaps of the two presidential candidates?).

Comment: This one is a bit odd. I think that it's somewhat funny, but not quite enough. I do not think that much effort was put into the article, however, especially because the image in it literally has an "x" button from when it was cropped from Google. I think that if Gale put a bit more effort into the article and expanded it beyond a stub, he could make it pretty nice.

Scores and review from Cassie[edit source]

Originality 7/10

Comment: I really liked how the article, instead of being an article about infomercials, is instead a meta-article commenting on infomercials.

Other comments: If the article was formatted more like a monologue, it would probably score higher, at least for me.

Creativity 2/10

Comment: The single screenshot used for the article kind of summarizes my point here: this article has so much potential, but feels neglected. Just like how screenshots accumulate in your "photos" folder until your phone inevitably runs out of storage space. Fuck you, Apple. (I would've given you 05 if you created the image yourself!)

Humour 4/10

Comment: There isn't much, whether positive or negative, that I can say about this article's humor. It's good but underdeveloped.
