At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Baina/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
If you want to write and don't know where to begin, browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!
If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome! Mr. Monkey Pant-hoot here. 22:23, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Help[edit source]
Need help improving my Monmouth article. A bit stuck.--Baina 23:00, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
- Rightyho, let's take a look. Hmm, well, for a couple of quick tips, try cutting down on the quotes at the start. Then take a read through again, pretending you've never heard of Monmouth - how much of that would be funny to you? The tip is to balance in-jokes that locals will appreciate with writing for a wider audience as well. This is something town articles rarely get right, so it's not easy. You might want to think about having a central concept for the article - instead of just having a scattergun approach and taking the piss out of whatever you can think of, a more structured approach might allow you to make this more consistently funny. I'd like to link you to some good examples here, but there aren't that many really good town-related articles. Atlanta has a decent central idea, or did the last time I looked at it. I'd recommend you get a pee review - the queue's quite short right now, and you should get some useful in-depth feedback. If you have another question, pop over to my talk page. And good luck! --UU - natter 14:45, Jul 10
Thanks for the advice. I'll try the pee review and then see what to do from there. --Baina 22:22, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- And here's the result. Sorry I've kept it so short.... Uncyclopedia:Pee Review/Monmouth Pup
