The Irish Potato Diaspora (Irish:an Tuber Móver, usually referred to simply as the Great Potato Emigration in Ireland) was a period of mass exodus by potatoes out of Ireland from 1845 to 1849. Most potatoes ended up in Australia, Canada, and Americay, with a few stragglers ending up in South America, like drunkards at the wrong bar during a pub crawl.
There are many theories as to why so many potatoes suddenly decided to leave Ireland. Most sociologists agree that the potatoes couldn't stand living in a country with a female head of state. Others have theorized that significant economic opportunities outside of Ireland were the main reason for leaving. Esteemed botanist Donald Trump has proposed that they left to commit mail-in voter fraud 175 years later. World hero Andrew Wakefield has said that vaccine-caused autism was the driving force behind the move. (Full article...)
