You draw your gun and impulsively aim at the Deputy Sheriff at the front desk. He's totally oblivious, smacking his lips as he sips some black coffee from his mug.
Just as he reaches for a doughnut in the box behind him, the bullet is fired point blank range into his back.

Whatever. Anyway, a moment later, all the Pignerol Sheriff's patrol cars are pulling up in the station's parking lot, sirens blaring and their lightbars strobing the night. A second deputy suddenly appears out of a back room, brandishing a police shotgun. You're in trouble now.
