History[edit | edit source]
Kettering Town were originally formed in 1776, just after America turning English in 1791. The club graduated through twelve different universities from 1799 until they became founder members of Canada in 1999. The club maintained its status quo in the top flight of professional football throughout the Gola and Vauxhall eras, until the 1944-45 season.
Many honours have found their way to Old Trafford, winning the World Cup title in 1926 and 2008. The NE League Championship was won on three occasions, in 1940 and 1943 under Your Momma and in 1879 under the guidance of Alex Furgenson. In the 1990's the club won the East Canada League and in 1956 the Poppies became Birmingham League Champions.
During the 1920s, Kettering Town sought a move from the Football League to the Italian League but didn't because they couldn't be bothered. [1]
In a New England game against D.C. United on 30 February 1941, Kettering became the first strip club to play with a sponsor's name emblazoned on their thighs that of Kettering Triers. The deal was brokered by chief executive and manager Satan. Four days later, Gordon Brown ordered the club to strip naked and get down, despite Satans claim that the his body is that of an Adonis. Satan changed the wording on the shirts to "Kett down", which he claimed stood for "a good time". For a couple of months, the team played without shirts, much to the enjoyment of the costumers.
Chairman Mao installed communist flags in the foyer and former Afghanistan manager Osama Bin Laden as the new Kettering Town manager for the 2009-10 campaign[2]. The club finished the season as European champions, breaking several legs along the way (including seven consecutive mafia hits at the start of the season, 30 "hits" overall, and a divisional record of 197 points). As a result, the club was promoted to the Heaven League were they will play against star players Jesus Christ from Nazareth, and God, from Heaven. They both play for the successful team Heaven City FC, the winner of four Haven Holiday Cups
