A very odd piece. I tried to talk about something insignificant (a lamp) from an eccentric author's perspective. In this case, an aspiring writer and teacher who was himself greatly inspired by his Latin teacher (that would explain the Latin phrases, which are kind of ridiculous if you know what they mean). --EMC [TALK] 00:22, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
| Humour: | 8 | This is certainly an article for those who are patient enough to get the joke. But it's a splendid joke. I thought this was hilarious, but I'm still only giving this an 8 because many people who are looking for instant gratification won't like this article. I got the Latin jokes, they were good. There's so many witty little exclamations and phrases in here that I just can't single any of them out as needing improvement. I think that the plain and simple truth is that this isn't an article for everyone. Don't do anything to change that, because that's why I love it. |

This is a good article to let that part of you shine. The tone is consistent, appropriate, clever, and ingenious. You manage to portray a very complex image of a narrator who is both artful and still somewhat ridiculous. It's great. It's fresh. It's brilliant. |
| Images: | 9 | The images weren't particularly funny, but I think in this case simple pictures work best. An UnBook like this one shouldn't rely on images, and you only supply two simple photos of lamps that serve just enough of a purpose to be useful and not distracting. |
