Uncyclopedia:Pee Review/Subliminal stimuli
Subliminal stimuli[edit source]
Please also review the underlying article, as it is meant to actually be funny. Thanks. -- 06:14, August 28, 2011 (UTC)
Affirmative. But only because it's small like my penis. Errrrr, I've said too much. I'll try to get it done soon. I understand and I wish to continue. . 09:09, August 30, 2011 (UTC)
Humour: | 8 | Ok, I’ll start out by stating that when I read shit or watch the picto-cube I rarely laugh out loud, or as some people like to say “lol out loud in a loud fashion.” Surprisingly, (and I don’t mean that as an insult) this article made me emit a loud noise which some may consider to be laughter.
Usually if people can see a joke coming, they won’t find it funny. Upon reading the title, I expected some sort of subliminal message or stimuli as you call it and wasn't surprised to get one. However, I found this one really clever, more so in its implementation than the actual content. I figure there are two types of people who will read this article; those who have been around a while and are bored with Nazi jokes and anal retentive wankers like myself who can’t get enough. As for the actual writing content, I found it somewhat predictable yet it was still a good read. The opening sentence was a bit long winded and didn’t flow too well. Try breaking it up into two sentences and adding another joke, I won’t suggest one though as I was born without the part of the brain which allows creative and intelligent thought. The rest of your ‘prose’ (people seem to like throwing this little synonym around) is funny yet I feel the formatting of the page lets it down a bit. You stated you intended this part to also be funny, which it is, I just feel more of an effort is needed to make it look like a “normal” article by having more than one sub heading and a little more content. Maybe you could base them on the different mediums of subliminal stimuli such as print, music, tv and so on rather than sticking them all under the banner of "History". In summary, it’s a bit short on total laughs but the ones it has are quite good. |
Concept: | 9 | It’s a great idea. I’m impressed with your ability to make flashy things appear. It’s almost as if you’re some sort of computer magic type guy or something but don’t want anyone to know about it. And who could dislike a good Nazi joke (expect for maybe the Nazi’s, but they’re mean poopy heads anyway). |
Prose and formatting: | 6.5 | Hmm, this kinda let’s your article down a bit and there’s a few reasons. Firstly, I can’t be bothered checking how you did it but I think the Nazi thing covers the whole page and this has caused several issues. I’m not sure if you noticed but because of this, none of the link’s work which could hide any joke links. I also had trouble reading it due to constant stimuli flashing; I tried to copy and paste it somewhere else but couldn’t highlight it to do so. Lastly and most importantly, I had to scroll across with the tab thing to read the off screen text due to the size of the nazi symbol. This made me angry and resulted in a certain cat being punched repeatedly and thoroughly. I assume you have a reason for this (wide screen or something) but me and my shitty laptop didn’t appreciate it much. |
Images: | 8 | Umm, this score is somewhat redundant as there are none. I’ll take one point off for the size of the Nazi flag as per above. Also, I’ll flog another one because the top “love me” was a little too subliminal. I didn’t get the joke at first and had to squint real hard to work it out. I know what you’ll say “But it’s supposed to be that way you garbage eating turnip rapist”, but I feel it needs to be darkened just a smidge. |
Miscellaneous: | 6.9 | Numerous studies have shown that 69 is the funniest number going around town and has been for quite some time. So errr, 696969696969696969. |
Final Score: | 38.4 | Nice job. Try it out on VFH or if you’re getting bored with that stale old scene, stick it on VFD. I enjoyed this one and got a good laugh out of it, I’m sure others will as well although I feel there’s room for improvement if you can be bothered. All hail president Mugabe! |
