| Humour: | 6 | Nice article on De Niro! I don't even know if I'm qualified to write a review, but it's kinda a duty around here, in the suck and blow gallery. The reason I gave a low score on humor in spite of liking the article is because it was too much fact. Like A Wiki article. Kinda like, you give, fact, fact, fact, fact, joke. See what I mean? It sounded too close to normal reality. Maybe mix him up with his movie parts, like was done with his pal, Joe Pesci. You know, he was also a Monster, a boxer, Al Capone, a bank robber, a Vegas casino boss, a hoodlum, and pal of terrifying Joe Pesci, etc. Like, it's not news nor funny that he played the part of a nut-case taxi driver in a famous movie; but it's funny as hell that he actually WAS a nut case taxi driver in his career, or Hitman. If you make his career into his real-life resume, THAT would be funny. We already know he was an actor; but was he really acting?. Just a suggestion. What the fuck do I know? But it was fun to read. |
| Concept: | 5 | Again the low score is because it's about good 70% fact, and 30% funny. My suggestion, as already given, is to mix him up in real life with his many characters, rather than tell the truth that we already know. The whole line of trying to keep close to the truth seems to miss the humor. |

| Miscellaneous: | 6 | Too much real life, with occasional jokes, rather than vise versa. |
| Final Score: | 36 | I'm no wiz., and I love the subject. But my feeling reading it was that I already knew it, and the jokes were kind of spread around here and there. Too much like Wikipedia. Maybe play him a bit more on him being his characters, like with Joe Pesci. And satirize more from movie rolls. Like, for example, he spent his child hood in prison during the great depression. Maybe give more importance to Deer Hunter, which was his pivotal role (actually) and very humor-worthy. But this is just my un-expert opinion. So don't care much about it. I'm really just trying to help clear the cue. You're almost there! |
