Latvia[edit source]

Humour: | 7.47 | Good stuff. A bit short though, for an article dedicated to a country. History and Politics make a great start, and the momentum is picked up again by Religion. I have no complaints for Food. As for Myths & Legends, add a legend if you will.
Section suggestions: Social Structure, Culture, Art, Music, International Relations, Sports, Natural Vegetation, Agriculture, Industries. Not that you have to add all of these; a few of these would make the article longer and a better read. Since it's engrossing, it'll be rather nice if a reader wasted more of her time on this article. |
Concept: | 7.03 | Cookie. Writing about an entire country is never an easy task. Which is why it can be fun. |
Prose and formatting: | 9.98 | Rather satisfying. No errors that I could pinpoint. Just some loose sentence construction in some places. It won't remotely affect those who aren't too picky about grammar AND ornamentation. |
Images: | 7.52 | Well done. A picture of a pair of feet with 11 toes would go well. If you can't find such a pic online, just ask a potatochopper.
If you add more sections, you can afford to add images without messing up the look of the page. Examples: Barren snowy land, "Latvia's lush meadow." Guy kicked in the crotch, "Latvia's favourite pastime." You get the drift. In case you don't, guy in suit flipping the bird, "Latvia's foreign policy (does not apply to Russia)." |
Miscellaneous: | 8 | Average score of all sections. |
Final Score: | 40 | You underestimate its power. It's a pretty good article, with a lot of potential. You have made premises that can be exploited well, if and when you expand the article. The background introduced can be well incorporated into whatever you add. The jokes you start off with can be used in contexts of newer sections. For example, you can use the whole Latvia-hates-Estonia premise to render an annual sprat+football match between these two. It's like looking at young Anakin before he became Vader. |
