Needs a decent proofread and some other modification. I think it's as complete as I can get it without turning it into the History of Great Britain though. Nominally Humane! 11:15 19 Dec
| Humour: | 5 | Some jokes about Justin Bieber and a red link area to demonstrate why no one takes an interest in providing historically-based articles outside Europe, North America and Australasia. A general, ironic tone through out the piece. Some may find this very dry reading. I smiled a couple of times but didn't find anything that was stand out funny here. |
| Concept: | 5 | A bold concept to try and cover a vast historical era. A lot more earlier on but from the Middle Ages it seems very brief. If this was part of joke - like a classicist unwilling to progress beyond the closure of Plato's academy in 529 then I would understand the general lack of interest in anything later. I didn't get that here. As a consequence I am reminded of a bored lecturer wishing he was elsewhere except here. |
| Prose and formatting: | 6 | Use of language was fine, I spotted no grammatical awkwardness with what was written. A lot of one liners. |
| Images: | 7 | The article was well provided with images. |
| Miscellaneous: | 5 | It was a vast undertaking to try and boil down 10,000 years of history but the article appeared unbalanced to me. The end section looked rushed as if the author wanted to go. If it was part of the overall joke, perhaps that would work but I didn't get that here. My overall impression was that article was incomplete. |
