Excellent Funnyboney-well done -I was grinning all through. Maybe something on projected cost savings per execution and the statistics for those executed in USA last year(52) those on death row (3,279) and those in prison(2,424,279) and the fact that USA killed and imprisoned more of its citizens than all other countries on earth combined last year might add to the grim mirth? i tried an unannounced addition to the recently spawned story of a grizzled Uncyclops Vet and got snarled at just recently so I am trying a more roundabout approach now.

Could the death ray be also used outside of execution and punishment time for heating the prisoners rations or cells ? Maybe they could purchase heat blasts at night to stay warm and eventually prisons could pay for themselves or turn a profit !
