UnNews:Snakes on a Plane gets a Bollywood remake
Sunday, January 15, 2017
MUMBAI, India - In keeping with the traditional Bollywood practice of making remakes (or, as some term them, 'refakes') of Western movies, Sony Pictures Asia has today announced their latest project - Vimaan Pe Saamp... a Bollywood remake of the hit 2006 film Snakes on a Plane.
From the press material that Sony has released, the Hindi film will be quite similar to the English - involving limbless serpents that have been let loose at high altitude. Apart from popular Bollywood actor Jamul L. Jacksabu in the Samuel L. Jackson role, it is not known which actors will be playing which roles, or how they have messed up the translation, but this will probably come to light soon. We can only speculate who will be playing Kenan.
A number of critics have expressed their annoyance at this practice, one asking 'Why can't they just think of something original?' and another wondering why it took them almost a decade to do so.
