UnNews:Perverts ruin bull-killing festival for girls
Saturday, July 16, 2016
Perverts have totally ruined the San Fermín festival in northern Spain by sexually assaulting women who were just trying to have fun and watch a bull get killed.
Police in Pamplona have arrested 16 men over the last few days as they investigate reports of five violent sexual attacks, including a rape and an attempted rape, and 11 allegations of sexual assault, meaning that women - both locals and tourists - have been notably reluctant to take any direct part in the chasing, kicking, punching, stone-throwing and taunting that goes into a Pamplona bull-run.
Local barmaid Analía Sangurima told UnNews: "There are some really dark parts of our culture which need addressing - principally, the false belief that men are superior to women and that women are there to satisfy them. It’s a sexist and patriarchal culture that makes me ashamed to come from here.
"Some guy was trying to fondle my boobs when I was trying to watch a bunch of bulls run terrified and beaten through the village, driven to their certain deaths in a bullring."
Her colleague Daysi Solís agreed: "It's a black day for Spain when a woman can't watch a bull being stabbed in peace."
