UnNews:Patriots defiant over inflate-gate
Monday, January 26, 2015
The New England Patriots have strongly denied inflating their opponents' balls with helium during their AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts, despite widespread controversy.
Rumors began as early as the first quarter, when spectators noticed that many of Colts' QB Andrew Luck's passes eluded receivers, and sailed harmlessly into the stratosphere.
Patriots' staff denied any knowledge of ball-tampering, but coach Bill Belichick's voice was notably more high-pitched than normal during his halftime talk.
The scandal has overshadowed the build-up to the Super Bowl against the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay's coach Mike McCarthy has made clear his feelings on the matter: "I told my players, if anyone who looks like a Patriot tries to touch your balls, don't let him."
