Er: the word diaper is gaining currency in this country, for one thing; and for another, using the word makes it easier to understand what we're talking about outside these shores. There are many words originally coined across the pond in widespread use in the English language. In fact, many of them people don't even notice, because they've been here for so long. English, as a language, almost depends on other cultures - it has taken words from most other countries, languages and the like. So don't worry about it! --UU - natter 15:40, Aug 20
