In case you're wondering how the hell this template could possibly be useful or necessary:[edit source]
- @MrX: Bless you sir!
How 'bout a spaced endash ( – ) that automatically
includes a hard space before and a regular space after? And
how 'bout a non-breaking hyphen (‑)? --Brogo13 (talk) 02:08, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah you can go ahead and create them and use them. MrX 00:35, 7 November 2024 (UTC)
- Oh cool! I will study that. Right now, with all the excitement, and my spirits being lifted with all that's going on, I'm still so wrapped up in this stuff because, well, I like things to be tidy. I hate making mistakes, and when you help me with things I wonder why I didn't notice some stuff. Honestly though I can blame multitasking for that. I'm so determined right now to get this .gif I'm working on to go just right. Also lots of distractions, but you know how that is? You guys, yes? So I've got this clip from the 1978 LotR animated movie where Aragorn trips on his sword. It's hilarious and all, but there are over 40 still frames of this. And I want the little animated scene to have no background so it goes with my article so nicely. Individually having to tweak this stuff so it flows just right. I know. I'm obsessed. But once it's done, it's gonna be so cool. I'll bet there's nowhere else in the whole www where such a .gif exists. Nacky (talk) 15:08, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Nowhere else indeed, and it will make Uncyc famous. I didn't even know there was a 1978 animated Lord of the Rings, I'll have to check it out. MrX 15:29, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- OMG you've gotta see it! I saw it when it was re-released in the early 1980s (shows you how long I've been into this) and I was just a wee lass. But I remember laughing hysterically at a lot of scenes in it. The film is animated but heavily uses rotoscoping so the animation looks more naturalistic. The clip I'm making the .gif from is here: https://youtu.be/ZaUDFszCTvc and yeah, it'll eclipse anything wikipedia has going for it lol! Nacky (talk) 17:48, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
