Talk:That's My Dick

I'm aware the language is probably too british: (whilst is a britishism) I think. Please americaniseamericanize the language as you see fit. Have some more ideas: a complete list of episodes with names (naturally all of them will be really bad puns : think Third Rock From The Sun). The number of episodes will be stupidly high (32 already since January???) as these are shot so cheaply. We could have a recurring antagonist as a Democratic Senator or somesuch, and emphasise that they are the real bad guy, not Osama, who is merely a comic figure of fun. Alaorandom celebrity guest appearances, and more Very Special Episodes.

Maybe go into a bit more of the backstory of the world? It would also be amusing to be updating this every Friday after the new episode has been broadcast. some west-wing style speculation about how the presidential election cycle has become desynchonrised from the one in the "real" world would be amusing (given that it hasn't). From Pee Review[edit source]

Developed the idea on IRC then decided to write it in a fit of inspiration. Not really sure what works/what doesn't work. Is it too dry? And I've been trying to prove you can make a funny article about a politician without insulting their politics : does that work? Morwen 21:53, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I thought this was pretty great- the tone works well (dryness is appreciated sometimes)and although my knowledge of US politics isn't quite up to speed the bit about shooting Harry in the face every episode really made me laugh. --Jamtrousers 12:44, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Looks like its expanding quite nicely now. That is a great image on there, though.... :) -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me) 12:55, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Just keep on doing what your doing — it's quite excellent (and that is a great pic, Mr. Mhaille).-- Imrealized 18:37, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
It's a great concept and one of the few really funny political things I've seen. I don't know if this is dragging it down a bit, but to me, the title suggests (innocently) a kind of comedy show with someone winking to the audience and pointing a thumb at Dick and saying "That's My Dick!" after he's gone and got himself into another pile of trouble. I don't know how easy this would be to square with what you are doing or if it would be worth it. --Sir Hardwick Fundlebuggy (Bleat) 21:51, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
While normally I'd tell ya to take whatever advice Hardwick unfurls, the route you're going may be more original because of the extremely short-lived (yet all too real) Comedy Central programme, That's My Bush!, which pretty much did precisely what you've just described, Mr. Fundlebuggy. Keep going this way with it and it'll be far enough removed from that debacle to keep on with the funny.-- Imrealized 01:22, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Image misconception[edit source]

The picture on this page seems to imply that "That's My Dick" is a film and not a TV show. Wouldn't it be a good idea to either revise the article acordingly or to revise the image to show that the article is about a TV show? Just wondering. Frinkosig.png08:59, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
