No it wasn't. Fredd The Mahmauscher (talk) – contribs (new • del) • edit-count • block (rem • list) • all logs • groups • checkuser had nominated his own bleepin' article for deletion, got gently chided for that move, and was allowed to pluck it back out of VFD without the 45-minute bans the rest of us were getting by Admins trying to be clever.
But meanwhile, I stepped in to try to rescue the article; convinced that it would never survive VFD, I started editing it in mainspace. Whereupon Fredd blanked everything but the See Also, started over on the intro--and then left town, offering excuses revolving around his toilet habits.
In the meantime, I have restored a tiny bit of the text Fredd blanked, and MadMax (talk) – contribs (new • del) • edit-count • block (rem • list) • all logs • groups • checkuser has stepped in with many excellent photos. The text is still glaringly unfinished. Am not sure MadMax wants to write prose on this subject; Romartus, who sometimes collaborates with me, has said he doesn't; and as for me, once burned, twice shy.

- Short answer: I own it.
- Long answer: I am the original author of this wretched article. In fact, it was my very first writing effort on this site, and it was basically crap. And after 10 forgetful months, I re-read it, and I decided that it was utter crap and that it should get deleted. Then I put it up for VFD, got two "I like the title" votes, and changed my mind. (This seems to be the reason you're pissed off at me. Is it?)
- I blanked and WIP'd it as I had a new concept in mind, for which I got myself a co-worker.
- Then I buggered off for two weeks to study for my exams. I'll work on it as soon as I return full-time (after ten days.) You're more than welcome to join us if you're interested. It's a wiki after all, you know.
- On a side note, I'd like to thank Madmax for contributing those magnificent images.

- I appreciate the clarity. Pissed off? as well as blanking help of mine that you didn't ask for, you then asked for my help...and then wandered off. It would have helped to know that you were leaving for two weeks--though, as you had said this had something to do with a visit to the toilet, I would have recommended a proctologist.[1] Good that you have a new concept and helper--But I don't know what the concept is, so let's just say, invite me back when you are done, to check grammar and spelling and maybe add flourishes. - Yes, I was startled and unhappy, but decided that's what you intended. In this case, I'll come along afterwards (when you tell me you're done) and do some copy-editing. Please review the stuff you deleted because I added some stuff that's funny. I have a request in to Romartus for photos, he's good at that. Done with the bulk of the article! Now it needs some rigorous copy-editing. Also, it needs links, more jokes, a better encyclopedic prose and a neat image format. Also also, as you might notice, I tried to make it encyclopedic and I failed at some parts.
