Missouri is a popular pop culture reference to the area west (East in European countries) of Kentucky. While many people have claimed to of, "visited" Missouri, but in fact, they have visited East Virginia.
In 1792, a low-life by the name of James Quinn, was traveling from New York to Arizona. After being disowned by his father for his intellect, James left looking for a way to prove his father wrong. He was traveling via the Ga-Ga Trail, popular for the transportation of child-slavery in the 1400's. James noticed a blank spot on his map, roughly around the spot where Missouri allegedly is. Determined to impress his father, James decided to find this land, and properly name due to its environment. Turning his wagon, James Quinn sought after a new chance.
