From Pee Review[edit source]

Humour: 7 Lots of funny, but a bit there is a bit of immediate repetition.
Concept: 7 The disease concept it funny, but I think this might work better as a HowTo with the whole 12 step program.
Prose and formatting: 9 Very impressive.
Images: 7 The lead is good, second is workable, third (Nicoderm) is alright but its hard to see the nerdiness edits without enlarging it.
Miscellaneous: 8 I'm a fan of lists.
Final Score: 38 See End Notes

Okay, I really like this piece and where you go with it. And per your request, yes, I would vote for it on VFH. However, there are some issues that will likely prevent it from becoming featured content:

  1. There is some immediate repetition that should be changed. A reader can parallel the jokes in the first 3 steps to the elements in the symptoms list too readily. If you want to keep the content, change the wording a bit so the correlation isn't so up-front.
  2. As is, the word "Listy" is going to appear in the against column in multiple instances. Though I think you make a good use of lists here (continuously proving my point that an article using lists as jokes is, in actuality, not listy), the fact that it is a mainspace article that is almost entirely lists is going to work against you. My suggestion would be moving this to something like HowTo: Quit Being a Nerd, or Why?: Give Up Nerdiness? or something along those lines if you wish to maintain the lists as the piece's complete body.
  3. Your Nicoderm image isn't coming through due to its size. I don't know the exact way to remedy this, but as is, it looks out of place until you click on it.

Good work Necropaxx! Consider some of these changes. But, if you're like 75% of Pee Review seekers and are planning on nomming it regardless of these painstaking endnotes, you've got at least one vote on your side. ;) --THINKER 19:48, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Humour: +6 Good, but nothing extraordinary.
Concept: +9 Excellent concept, as it applies to everybody here.
Prose and formatting: +7 Quite adequate.
Images: +7 Perhaps a bit scanty. Add one or two more of the same quality and you should be good.
Miscellaneous: +6 It's a good solid article, but it again somehow lacks a certain spark.
Final Score: 35 It's good, you did a good job. I think that you should remove the "this won't work for you, though" things, as they ruin the pseudoseriousness.

Humour: 7 Nice twists here and there. You obviously pursue one goal and one single goal only, that is to make fun of nerds. Your writings are consistent. Otho you draw heavily upon the perception of nerdiness from a Western-centric point of view. But then again on the [gripping hand], I suppose that makes sense in an satiric website aimed at the Anglo-American public.
Concept: 5 Making fun of nerds is not very original. The Romans did it, and [Revenge of the nerds] plus it's sequels are examples of how this tradition still continues.
Prose and formatting: 8 Good work. Short, crisp sentences. These I like. Building up to conclusions nobody can oppose without breaking the article's intrinsic and unwritten rules of logic. Really, good work! No sarcasm intended.
Images: 9 Excellent. Very to the point and subscripts link in with the main article in a non-intrusive way. In other words: they support, rather than distract.
Miscellaneous: 10 No additional comments
Final Score: 39 Yes, I would vote for this harticle in VFH. Please remind me to do so when the time comes.

Humour: 8 Funny, a couple parts got choppy and slow, but that's in most articles.
Concept: 8 The symptoms are nothing new. I think they could be shortened a little bit, and face it. If you are reading the article, chances are you happen to be a nerd...
Prose and formatting: 9 AAAAAGH! I saw a teh!
Images: 9 Good, but switch the places of the virus and the cafe, and move the virus to match the cure's point in the article.
Miscellaneous: 9 Good use of footnotes, pi runs on way too long though
Final Score: 43 I'd vote for it, if I remember to visit VFH anytime soon. Good article. A few fixes, and 2 red links that would be nice if they are worked out. Good job. I have to go work on step 2 now. Good thing I have my cheez whiz soap autographed by George Lucas
