It is time to end this admins picking new admins in the second round. The last time this happened it was just a rubber stamp. It has always been a terribly unfair process. While this time around inactive admins didn't come and give their say, they still have that right and it would be ridiculous to have the active users here just nominate users and then have inactive admins come and vote on admins they don't even know anything about. I belong to other wikis where the whole community votes on admins and there has never been a problem. Current crats can easily handle socks as well as voting fraud and manipulation. One round of voting, all users with accounts of 2 weeks and 75 edits get one vote.

Let's discuss this before voting on it.ShabiDOO 13:10, 31 May 2021 (UTC)

Honestly, I would suggest replacing it with a security check - one designed to prevent Aldens and Aimsplodes from being opped, whilst enabling everyone else. Such a check should never factor in opinion, making it something completely different from a vote. Like this, instead of a rubber stamp, we have a security checkpoint to ensure that all incoming admins are good to go.  Cassandra  (talk) 13:14, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
I agree with Shabidoo, and I’m pretty sure I agree with Cassie. Cassie, are you suggesting that before opping someone, we have a crat CU them and double check that everything is legit? Cuz I think that’s a good idea. MrX blow me Emoji-drool.gif 14:16, 31 May 2021 (UTC)
