Er, here at UN:IC we'll be extending the voting portion of the first week into the second as there seems to be less of a desired turn out as of yet. This pushes out the process so we won't have a bonus week this month, but I'm sure that won't be a problem.
New applicants are always welcome. ~ Avast Matey!!! Happytimes are here!* ~ ~ 11 Sep 2010 ~ 03:33 (UTC)
Basic Colonization Refresher:
WEEK ONE: Nominations and voting
First we select an article. Colonizers nominate and vote on articles that:
- Requires immediate attention (i.e. it sucks).
- Is one casual readers are most likely to come in contact with or look up (i.e. Transformers, God, You).
- Tickle their fancy (in a good way).
This process normally begins and ends on a Sunday. At about midnight GMT on the following Sunday (this time, the 18th), the top article will be taken from the queue and chosen as the new Colonization. (Other top nominations will be carried over to the next month.).
All registered IC members are allowed to vote for or against as many articles as they like at this time. However, each member of Imperial Colonization is expected to participate in any winning Colonization that they vote for.
next WEEK (19-22) (22-25): Concept, development, writing
Wednesday - Saturday: Concept and development
Ideas are hashed out & the discussion is geared towards the concept the colonized article will have. A general outline from these ideas will be compiled and posted.
Then on to a quick writing time:
next next WEEK: Writing and evaluation
Sunday - Friday Thursday: Writing (26-30)
During these six five days = Writing the article following the agreed upon outline.
last day: Evaluation
Finishing touches are made & the article is sent to Pee Review where a member of PEEING (who's not been part of this colonization will review it). I will implement the bulk of the changes with feedback from the staff.
- Nominating the article for VFH by the reviewer is optional.
- Should the article be nominated for VFH and eventually featured, all participants will receive one half of one feature credit (in regards to UN:HS). (New: participants may lobby on behalf of themselves for credit to the guy in charge if not automatically picked for a 1/2 featuredom token.)
FORTNIGHT CLAUSE
Will not be in effect for this colonization.
Start again next month...
