  2. For. Additionally, there's no such thing as anything ever "needing" a reference. This should not be a point of judgment. --Littleboyonly.jpg TKFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFUJewriken.GIFCK Oldmanonly.jpg 06:05, July 13, 2010 (UTC)
  3. For. Prettiest Pretty is a much missed writer and it's refreshing to read an original and funny story. I have added one extra illustration but this is really superb work. A very strong vote in favour. Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 06:06, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

Against: 1
  1. Against. I'm also a huge fan of PP, but I think there's a reason this was never featured. I think it's another one of those articles that blows its entire load on the concept and then doesn't deliver any additional humor. And I really wanted it to subtly imply cannibalism all the way through instead of becoming an "Okay, now let's eat a vicar!" article. I feel kinda bad about voting against this, but I just don't like it that much. Tinymasaru.gifpillow talk 17:57, July 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • abstain Needs a reference to "A Modest Proposal" and at least one more good picture. Then I'll vote yea. User:Mrthejazz/sig 03:11, July 13, 2010 (UTC)
Added an extra illustration and one very minor word change. I understand the 'a modest proposal' joke there but as Prettiest Pretty is no longer a regular on here except to check if people are playing around with her work, I don't think it's possible to add anymore to the main text. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 06:09, July 13, 2010 (UTC)
  • Was the rendering of a lot of compound and hyphenated words as two words some intentional joke I'm not getting, or just sloppiness? I swear, I'll never understand P.P. --monika 05:44, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
    • I had another look. Can you give me an example Monika? --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 10:07, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
      • "outrun would-be" and "leftovers" in the intro and captions - those three jumped out at me right away. Dockworker or dock worker can go either way. (I would have gone with dockhand myself.) Corn-fed is more common than both corn fed and cornfed but all three are correct. Hellfury. Wafer-thin is more common than wafer thin. I haven't made it through the entire article. I think she also intended the recipe to be formatted differently. If people really want me to, I can give it a once-over, but I'd honestly much prefer someone who likes it do it. --monika 16:37, July 17, 2010 (UTC)
        • I made some minor changes but some of the other spellings can be 'eccentric'. PP has top and tailed the article but the rest of the prose is supposed to by Mrs Lovett so she could have some eccentric ways of spelling. A good example today is the word 'weekend' but earlier it was spelt week-end, until at least the 1930s before it settled on the current format. Re-reading it again - there is one puzzle of a line though: tis a shame to just throw it to Sexton in the second paragraph. I wonder if this is an error for Sweeney. --Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 06:51, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
          • "Throw it to Sexton" means "Give it to the grave digger." --monika 07:31, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
            • Thanks for the information on that one. I was unaware it was a phrase.See..this is an educational site too.--Laurels.gifRomArtus*Imperator ® (Orate) 08:16, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
              • I've been saying that for years and everyone just stares at me funny. --monika 08:43, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
