Forum:VFD Counter
Everytime I look if there's any space on VFD for an article I always have to count how many articles are already there so I don't violate the "15 articles only" rule. After a while this starts to get annoying so I had an idea; would it be a good idea or possible to have something that checks how many articles are there and then displays the number at the top? -- . 14:02, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- It's called the table of contents. It numbers the amount of "2 equal" sections right on it at the bottom area. For example:
For deletion
meme
Pickle
White Castle
As you can see on the TOC, the number of headers under "For Deletion" can be seen - each header is numbered, with the last header before the archives header telling you the EXACT amount of articles on VFD. --~

- Ahh I see well I always hide the TOC as i always found it to be not much use. I've un-hidden it now. thanks for pointing that out :) -- . 17:33, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Wee!
For fun I turn VFD into a word problem. "If there are seventeen articles on VFD, four of them are redlinked and two are marked as 'kept', can I add a page without being banned?" See? It's fun! Wee! Sir Modusoperandi Boinc! 17:10, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- The answer is no! Because in the two seconds it takes to edit in a new page, there are edit conflicts with Insineratehymn, SBU, and TKF, all at once. By this point, there are 15 articles exactly, and adding will get you banned. P.M., WotM, & GUN, Sir Led Balloon (Tick Tock) (Contribs) 21:14, August 16, 2007
- I found that with Insineratehymn; I went to add one and it changed, so I did it again...he changed it...so I did it again AND copied it before I did it. Ironically it worked that time. So the motto is always copy it before posting...just in case -- . 21:19, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
- Speaking of which, how many VFDers does it take to change a lightbulb? Answer: The lightbulb will never be good enough however many times we change it, and so should be deleted. :-) -- Whhhy?Whut? How? *Back from the dead* 16:11, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
