First of all, confirmation code may be fully readable every third time. Second, my IP address is in the dynamic range and I am not able to open an account "because two users made accounts before me". Milos– Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.18.50.25 (talk • contribs)

this is hilarious! you are really funny, you know, admin tompkins. but is all this sense of humour reserved strictly for the dump? do you understand his problem? of course you do. tell me why you think he's trolling then? -- mowgli 20:36, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry, I was trying to be serious, what he's describing seems pretty shitty to me. However, there's not alot I can do, considering I'm not very technically-able and Wikia runs the site. oh, i read this comment of yours only now. i agree with you. please ignore my post below. -- mowgli 06:15, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, so there is actually a block on making accounts if that specific IP has already made two? There are a bunch of problems with having a system like that, because not only to IP's change and get traded around, especially for stuff like AOL, but public places shouldnt be ruled out as places for people to register. I can understand why this was put into place, to stop people from continually making accounts after being banned, but isnt there a better way to stop them from doing that, like a temporarily block placed on that specific IP, rather than a broad policy such as this? ~Sir Rangeley Icons-flag-us.png GUN WotM UotM EGA +S (talk) 20:53, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
I have made several sockpuppets accounts on the same IP. It is a time thing. Can't be done too close together.---Quill.gifRev. Isra (talk) 05:12, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Tompkins, our system sucks. Hate those captchas. Mowgli, what's your problem anyway? --User:Nintendorulez 22:12, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
i thought he was being sarcastic. tompkins is usually curt in his replies and thus i often misjudge him i think. i also think this has led to an accumulation of pent up aggression inside me which i think i was trying to vent earlier. sounds good? no? well my bad. normally i would have expected admin types to offer a suggestion or two when users, especially anon ips or newbies, have a problem, in addition to nodding heads. the confirmation system is quite pathetic here (something i too have pointed out earlier) but i think i'm in the minority right now 'cos nobody wants it changed. i had underestimated how much uncyclopedia is a target of spam (edit.)vandalism (people are funny: surely there are better things to do in life than vandalize uncyclopedia). plus the guy has a dynamic ip problem to which i'm sure there is a solution. if there isn't, well then it really sucks :(-- mowgli 06:04, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

Of course an ANTI-spam prevention is going to suck. It's because ANTI-spam preventions are unpopular, as they allow for the free flow of spam! Crazyswordsman...With SAVINGS!!!! (T/C) 05:49, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

If you still can't register an account Milos, I (or someone else, try asking on the irc channel) could create the account for you and send you the password. Or you could try waiting until the limit on new user registrations for your IP or whatever it was runs out. Spang talk 11:03, 23 Dec 2006

I don't like spam like the next person but gosh...can it get tweaked? --HPSig.PNGHP talk KUN.png Icons-flag-pi.PNG 07:21, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
