I really only use the Village Dump to ask questions now, because I feel I have a better chance of getting a quasi-serious or at least coherent answer here than on the IRC...But anyways, my question is: can non-admins (i.e. me, the common man) delete crappy articles? I mean like, really crappy articles, when absolutely necessary. --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 23:14, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree with this proposal to delete all non-Admins. -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
So much for serious... In answer to your question, no. However, you can list uber-crappy article at QVFD, NRV short articles with no potential, and list all the rest at VFD to be voted on. For mor einformation and the specific guidelines and whatnot, see our deletion policy. That's perhaps the craziest idea I've ever heard. Look at the sheer amount of page-blanking vandals we have encountered for goodness' sake! I am quite sure half of them are jocks, blondes and idiots who truely believe that blanking=deletion. Just imagine what this wiki would be like if everyone was given the rights to delete articles. -- The Colonel (talk) 05:35, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Well, you may say User:DiZ is a "dreamer," but he's not the only one. I just hope someday, you'll join us - and the world will be as one.  c • > • cunwapquc? 05:44, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Mhaille: I never said that. You scare me. <DiZ runs to corner and hides>

Tompkins: alright then, I'll have to settle for that. I guess it's the power of being able to completely destroy an article with the click of a button that just makes me so envious...still, I thought NRV was for articles that were crappy and short, but had some potential. whatever...indifference rules.--Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) The key work in No Redeeming Value is "No." --Spin 01:39, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Agreed, and I might even add that the key word in "Votes for Deletion" is for.  c • > • cunwapquc? 03:53, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
And the key word in "QVFD" is Dee, which is, of course, a reference to Dee Snyder (and not Dee Wallace Stone, as it is rumored to be.) If you don't understand, then clearly you weren't paying attention. --The King In Yellow (Talk to the Dalek.) 18:23, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Now that's just twisted, sister.... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)
But all of my articles that have been NRV'd were fixed, and no one dares to question their authority, no? I think No Redeeming Value means "no redeeming at that time". But I'm an optimist, so i'll probably be trampled by the big-shot fascists that run this place, along with having my soul utterly broken in two... --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) What soul? Hasn't that Ouroboros or whatever the hell it is you spam about on IRC stolen it already? WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE A GOOD BOY AND DIE??!? --Sign2.pngSarinZero (blabber )Sign2.png 02:50, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok, first off: Leave Ouroboros alone, He didn't do anything to you./ Second: Shot your fuck up./ Third: Why do you assume I have the capacity to be good?/ Fourth: Your mom/ Fifth and hopefully last: Snakes on a Plane/ No, it wasn't last: scale down those damn triangles on your sig / Wait, one more: you realize by providing a link, you yourself are spamming Ouroboros? /Hold up a moment: Shot your fuck up. There --Señor DiZtheGreat Honor me! CUN AOTM ( Worship me!) (Praise me!) (Join me!) AMEN! 15:53, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
