- I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (
) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.
- Here at Uncyc, writing articles isn't a requirement, but it's a fun and easy way to express your creativity. When you start an article, it's a good idea to start it in your userspace (for example, User:SirKris/Article about stuff) so you can edit it without fear of it being huffed. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it's in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.
- If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Villiage Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Just leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join, and you're all set. Again, welcome!
Hello SirKris, and welcome[edit source]
Your effort to create the page on the Shiek is commandable, and hopefully you will stick around. When people on the delete page say "Random" that just means that too many topics and switches occur in too limited a space. Example: "The last time I saw Paris it was raining" might turn into "The last time whisky flowed in 1983 I saw cucumbers on your mom, lol lol, Paris with two pirates in space and sharks killed them and monkeys in 1883". Random is a killer around here, as are lists. Look at some articles, and they are just lists. Vandals eat lists for lunch. Anyway, before this gets too long, have fun here. Come to a Welcome Party if you'd like. Read the stuff above, at least some of it, alot to take in all at once, and like any website, feel around and have a learning curve experience. ~
