At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but I do recommend it, it can be quite enjoyable, and it's a good chance to let others take notice of your writing. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Psybergirl74/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well. Your request for {help} at Plunger

An experienced Uncyclopedia user has already corrected the formatting of your [Image:__] spec and the photo you wanted is in the article. The only misconception you may have is that you don't specify (height x width), only width; Uncyclopedia renders it at the correct height. USE THIS SPARINGLY because your article will be seen by people with all sorts of different screen sizes.

A misconception you have outside of illustrations is that you are DOUBLE-SPACING everything! You shouldn't press Enter at all, except twice to go to a new paragraph. The Uncyclopedia edit box will wrap words for you. Again, your readers have all sorts of different screen sizes; you essentially made every line a separate paragraph, which forces your article to display correctly on your screen, and wrong in many other places!

I don't see why you said you can't get links into your article either; there appear to be plenty.

PS--One more misconception you may have: When you code a link to an article, the article has to exist! For example, there is no article on Harry H. (Hoover) Brownbottom--obviously, you invented it--and that is why it appears in red. Code links only when you want the reader to be taken to some other, EXISTING, article if he clicks on the link.
