User talk:Nintendo2001
Hi, and welcome to Uncyclopedia![edit source]
Hello, Nintendo2001. I'm Yettie (that's a shortening of YesTimeToEdit) and I've just noticed your contributions and so I've decided to pop in and give you a formal welcome! Lucky you!
Before we get started...this is not an automated message, well it is kinda, but I've taken the trouble to find your talk page after noticing some of your contributions and then have copied and pasted some stuff here. Also, this welcome hopefully contains a bunch of useful stuff, so don't go and delete it! That would make me cry! Anyway, let's proceed with the welcome, shall we? Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay, but if not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your right... yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for people like you (don't worry, at Uncyclopedia the term "n000b" is bounced around quite a lot, you've got accept that in your first month or so you're a n00b). I really recommend you check them out, even if you skim over them.
- The Beginner's Guide is a very useful, step by step guide.
- Our Vanity Policies - why we don't care about your friends.
- How to be funny and not just stupid (a very good read, I went through many times when I was a n00b).
If you read anything at all, make it the above three links, that is presuming you can read. You can read, can't you? If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:
- My Talk Page - I'll be glad to help you out, Nintendo2001.
- About Uncyclopedia and The five pliers of Uncyclopedia
- How to get started editing on uncyclopedia
- Help Pages - if you need help with a specific issue
I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button () above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.
At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Nintendo2001/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well. Of course there are other areas to get involved in, such as reviewing people's articles, or creating games or even making lots of little edits to improve Uncyclopedia. Whatever takes your fancy (as long as it's constructive, not destructive).
If you need help, ask me on my talk page (as I said before), ask at the Dump (an Uncyclopedia Forum), or ask an administrator on their talk page. Also, there is totally the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program. It's a scheme that is designed to bring experienced editors straight to you. Browse our list of available mentors, and leave them a message on their talk page. Again, welcome!
Well, I'm surprised you read all of that! Have fun and don't be scared! There's only a 1 in 9 chance we'll eat you! Bye, have fun and stuff... Oh and if you want, you can actually reply here to ask any questions you want. Asking questions is good! Sir FSt Don Yettie [22:04 26 Jan]
