At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Leaking Pipe/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If you want to write and don't know where to begin, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

Ok, that was just the generic welcome. Now for the real thing!

Hello mein fuhrer! I am so happy that you have joined. It's gonna be epic. Ok so this is your talk page where everyone can communicate with you. On talkpages, you have to sign all your comments with tildes like it says in the generic welcome. And when you are replying to someone, add a colon to the start of your sentence, like so

When you are ready to start an article do not just start editing on an existing article or create a new one. You first create it in your namespace, like it shows in the generic welcome (the generic welcome has much useful info). Then you work on it and make it awesome before you send it to mainspace. I myself have never actually written an article here but I understand the general concept. Once your article is awesome, you send it to pee review, where clever writers will judge it and give you tips and if it is very awesome it will be nominated for VFH. It is important to vote on other people's articles also, just remember to sign your votes. And you can also vote on pictures at VFP. I currently have a pic up for voting so hint hint. And then there is the matter of making your user page pretty and creating a custom signature. Anyway, let me know if you need anything. Either on my talkpage or via the general channels.
