At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Ellemonopy/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If you want to write and don't know where to begin, browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

Sorry about that, I had a lot to do over the last week and didn't have a chance to get on here. Anyway, I guess I might need some help with that pic, as I haven't gotten very far on it yet and I am beginning to realize how bad I am at photoshopping. I used that font you sent me (serpentine bold I think), but it looked like it needed to be in italics to match the original. I don't know how to use italics in photoshop and when I tried to make the text in MS word, then transfer it to photoshop, it didn't really work. So now I'm kinda stuck. Help would be appreciated. No problem, I've been pretty busy myself. I just thought I'd bring this topic to your talk page since it might get a bit long. Anyway, I'll try to explain, just tell me if you dont understand. I'm assuming you are using Photoshop CS3 if not, it might be a bit different for you. Here goes:

Select the type tool and enter the text, making it the font and basic colour (you'll add the highlights and borders later).

The top toolbar will give have options for font family, style, size, alignment, ect. Towards the end of that line is a little icon that looks kind of like a folder, if you hover your cursor over it the tooltip will read 'toggle the character and paragraph palettes'. If you click on that you will get more detailed font options.

Not all font styles have an 'italic' option but if you open that pallette, towards the bottom you will see an icon that looks like an italicized T. That is called faux italics. If you use that the text will be italicized.

Once you have the text basically like you want it. Right click on the text layer and choose 'Rasterize type'. This will turn the text layer into a regular layer so that you have more freedom to edit it.

Once you have rasterized it you can use the magic select tool to select the text and create a different colour border by choosing the rectangular marquee tool, right clicking and choosing 'stroke' and then selecting the colour and size of your choice.

Then you need to do some blurring and general editing which I can't think of off the top of my head now.
