At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but I do recommend it, it can be quite enjoyable, and it's a good chance to let others take notice of your writing. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Doigy/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well. 'Lo Doigy

Just stopped by with a couple of tips for you. I've just altered your chav hunting article so that it includes a construction tag - to add one in the future, use this code: {{construction}} instead of simply writing "to be continued" or suchlike and the article will remain undeleted for seven days - marauding admins will pay no heed to anything else. However, there's a better way still. When you create a new article, rather than doing so in mainspace, do it in userspace. You do this by creating a page called something along the lines of http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/User:Doigy/NameOfArticle, which will not be deleted no matter how long you leave it. Once the page is completed, it's a simple matter of transferring it over to the main Uncyclopedia space and adding the userspace version to QVFD - message me on my talkpage or talk to Sockpuppet, whose talkpage can be reached easily via that welcome message up there, if anything is unclear. Finally, to add a signature, use four tildes - like this: ~~~~. There's no need to do this in articles though, just on talkpages, forums etc. Oh, and one last thing - welcome to Uncyclopedia - I'm looking forward to seeing more of your articles in future. :-) Rabbi Techno kvetch Contribs FOXES 08:13, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
