“Why exactly does Saskatchewan have an army?”

~ Stephen Harper on Saskatchewan Army

The Armed Forces of Saskatchewan or Saskatchewan Army is the primary institution in charge of the defence and safety of the great and boring province of Saskatchewan. There are currently three Bases one being in Saskatoon, Regina and Prince Albert

Current State[edit | edit source]

The Saskatchewan forces consists of three divisions; Army, Air Force and the Navy.

Saskatchewan Gopher Regiment

Army[edit | edit source]

The land forces sector is composed of a number of woodland creatures and various other animals. They work in close relation to the Saskatchewan Provincial Police. Their primary equipment is New Holland Tractor Combines along with Sask MG-22’s and the infamous corn mortars which proved very effective in the Saskatchewan Civil War

Air Force[edit | edit source]

The Saskatchewan Royal Air Force (SRAF) is composed mainly of children pilots between the ages of five to19 years of age. The primary fleet of aircraft are 315 gliders fitted with SaskMG-42’s, 186 RC planes fitted with corn cluster bombs and the Space Shuttle Discovery (which has yet to be used for anything). The Air Force also has one CF-18 Fighter Jet however no one knows how to use it except the janitor who sits in the corner who everyone thinks is crazy. The SRAF saw its first action in 1966 when 24 pilots, lead by 9 year old Captain Charley Kernels, carried out a surprise attack on Montreal City in order to test their new corn cluster bombs. The attack lasted 3 hours with no pilot casualties. 440 Montreal citizens died.

Navy[edit | edit source]

The Saskatchewan Navy is responsible for the protection of the provinces two mighty rivers from the Saskatchewan Pirates who pray on farmers and fishermen. The Navy owns two canoes and the RHMS Saskatoon which was won in an auction in British Columbia. The Province has 11 former German WWII U-Boats on order.
