Background information
Colorado, the state that lied to you for years about being a square (indeed, it actually has 697 sides. Fuck you for lying), is also a swing state. But is it? Nah.
Certainly has been competitive, voting for Bill Clinton in 1992 but not 1996. George W. Bush won by 8.4% in 2000 but not even five come 2004. The Republicans never won a presidential election since, with the closest being 2016, at 4.9%. Considering how John Hickenlooper also kicked Cory Gardner's butt in the 2020 Senate election, flying him into Kansas, it's just not the same.
