The Children of the Owl and the Pussycat is a is a 2010 Polish documentary film written by Josh Boa and directed by Steven Spielberg starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Barack Obama, Robert Pattinson, Vin Diesel, Dr Eggman, Dawn French and Jim Carrey The film is set in the 1800s and is the sequel to the well received true story The Owl and the Pussy-Cat Went To Sea, a tale of the struggle for an owl and a pussy-cat to be accepted as lovers and swingers. The films title refers to the mutated offspring of the Owl and the Pussy-Cat and how there children must then grow up in a world where they are freaks of nature.

Josh first got the idea for this film as he sat on the toilet and pondered about his over-eccentric lifestyle and the decisions he had made, he thought: "What if I had sex with an owl?"

The filming began immediately as Josh borrowed his pornographer parent’s camera. Josh came to the realization he would not be able to write, direct, star in, produce and sell the film himself after several attempts to do so (See Owls and Pussies 1-5).

The film underwent several changes of director (Due to alligator related accidents) but Steven Spielberg after single handedly winning the world cup had nothing better to do so he gave it a shot. Filming began in early 2009 but it was soon realized they would need some actors so they hired some. Filming was completed by June 2010 and production took about a day or two.

Prior to the film's release, it was met with criticism from disability advocacy groups for its portrayal of mental retardation and so the character Retarded Alligator was removed from the script.

The soundtrack and score debuted on July 1, 2010, before the film's theatrical release. It received generally favourable reviews with critics approving of the film's characters, story, and trailers while criticizing its offensive content and references to the critics wives. In its North Poland opening weekend, the film earned US$26 and retained the number one position for the first three weekends of release. The film and its cast were nominated for several awards by various groups including the Screen Actors Guild, Broadcast Film Critics Association, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. TCOP grossed US$26 in theatres before its release on home video on November 12, 2010.

Plot[edit | edit source]

The sequel follows on from where The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea finished with the Owl and the Pussy-cat giving berth to two mutant babies Gerald and Trevor, half Owl and half Pussy-Cat. During the next five minutes you see an amazing montage to show the struggle they have endured nether being accepted by the Owls or the Pussy-Cats. The Cat becomes an alcoholic due to self loathing and beats the owl who is now just a shell of the woman she ones was (The Owl age 13). The mutated children work in coal mines with migrant workers to feed there father's drinking habit and tending to there mothers wounds.

In the Mines Gerald discovers a magical rock which gives him super powers and the ability to see bottle caps over three miles away. Trevor is naturally jealous but tries to support his fellow mutant. After destroying all man kind Gerald and his Franklin (Geralds boyfriend) leave there home and join the circus leaving Trevor to support the family, Trevor's plotline from here is left open presumably for a third instalment or spin-off in the series. Theories that Trevor was secretly in Gerald’s imagination are ridiculous and should not be talked about.

Gerald and Franklin enter the world of the circus, Gerald as the amazing bottle cap lad and Fraklin as blowjob boy the circus slut. Franklins pimp (Circus Ring master lets slip in the heights of passion that the circus is actually just a cover for the triads. As the lovers discover more about the dirty triad world they get sucked into a world of drugs and cheap catnip (especially Franklin). In a whirlwind adventure they work from the inside to expose the triads by alerting a local police officer just like you should kids. The police officer formed a random SWAT team to take down the triad assisted by Gerald and Franklin who's true goal is to save Dumbo's mum from life as a whore on the mean streets of New York.

The attempted rescue is thwarted by Satan himself who puts Dumbo's mum on a high shelf so they can't reach her, Satan breaks a deal with Gerald and Franklin. If they beat his representative in a bike race with there eternal souls as bargaining chips they can choose the fate of Dumbo's mum. Gerald takes the bike and Satan's representative is shown to be Evel Knievel. Gerald and Evel race from London to Madrid, the first there decides the fate of Dumbo's mum. Gerald bests Evel with the cunning use of a whale resulting in Dumbo's mum being set free. As the credits roll Dumbo and his mum walk into the sunset and are hit by a tram.
