Okay, don't let this review discourage you from completing this piece. If you go over the work comment-by-comment and add, it could really be as good as you want it to be. I'd definitely take the advice when it comes to the proofreading; Ceridwyn and her crew are great at what they do and can help that element greatly. As for other improvements, I'd just say continue writing. Its currently a short piece, and I think a little more meat on the bones could help improve the concept and humor elements. Oh, and ADD PICTURES ASAP! As much as it should be solely about the writing, pictures really do make or break articles for some readers, and on a piece like this one, they'd really help greatly.
