HowTo:Understand Jersey Shore[edit source]

Added to it since last review, tell me whats wrong. I'm looking for a better caption for the first picture, any suggestions? I'm gonna be touring colleges until the end of the week.Icons-flag-pi.PNG Pirate Lord__Sonic80 (Yell  •  Latest literary excretion) __ 21:59, August 17, 2010 (UTC)

Humour: 6.5 *Intro: Very nice introduction, very formal like the rest of the article. The striking out the "Italian" part of their ethnicity was clever and I much enjoyed that little touch of humor. It reads like a real wikipedia introduction and thus makes it clever, due to being well executed.
  • The Jersey Shore:Like most of the article this is more clever than funny, not that there is anything wrong with it being like that. Talking about how businesses fail related to the show except clubs is pretty good I feel more could be added here, but I'm not sure what.
  • Guidos: A very good section that goes back to the intro with the slashed out "Italian" and really delves into the fake nature of the show and really all reality tv. It reads like a real encyclopedia and I actually chuckled during the sub-section on "That one Guidette that no one likes".
  • Grenades and Landmines: For my money the funniest section in the entire article. Its just not what you expect at all, as a person who has shamefully seen an entire two episodes of this show while sober I really appreciated this stab at the over the top blatant sexism displayed by the leads of this show and you expose it here and make it so real world important and relevant in such a way you'd think Jersey Shore was actually worth discussing. Oh Somalia, you may be a more desirable place to live than New Jersey.
  • MIA, GTL, and the Acronyms: Another good section while it wasnt as surprising as the previous due to it following the Grenades and Landmines section I still found it nice to read. I didn't laugh or chuckle at any parts though you almost got it out of me with the MIA bit. I like the form of always going back to how its not something thats of real substance or science/what you think the acronym is for but rather something stupid. Like the show.
  • Snooki No Jersey Shore article would be complete without an entire section dedicated to Snooki, though it was the obvious choice writing about her as if she is an animal is a good move. And probably the most accurate depiction of her. Just a personal preference make her smaller than 5 feet. Maybe like 4 feet. I dont know if its funnier I just think it makes it easier to treat her like a wild animal.
  • Notes Makes all the citations hilarious. A very clever and well done section.
Concept: 8 This actually helped me figure out the show that is Jersey Shore. I think I should send this to people so they know not to every watch it and force MTV to actually start showing shows about music again. (Uncyclopedia isn't owned by Viacom are they?)
Prose and formatting: 9.5 Well done, and keeps a very professional and encyclopedia like tone throughout. I also thought the citations were a very nice touch to the entire look and feel of the article. I think the real wikipedia should use this. But they aren't dedicated to accuracy as much as you are.
Images: 6 Good, but I feel you could have found better. Except for the Grenade and Gudio markings those are good. I feel the Snooki one leaves more to be desired. Images arent a HUGE thing unless they are done well or really badly so I doubt there is any need to rush out and find better pics.
Miscellaneous: 7.5 Needs to be added to the television category. And I feel not mentioning Snooki being punched is a missed opportunity. Also this is an article I feel because its so professional and thus more true than funny could really benefit from an audio narrator with a pretentious tone of voice. Just a thought.
Final Score: 37.5 This is good and it could probably do well in the VFH. I think its very clever but not laugh out loud funny, but thats okay many featured articles are more clever/true than they are funny. This is well written and constructed, you may want to fine tune it here and there but its pretty good article and something I'll use as a guide from now on.
