I havn't made an uncy article in a while. Might've lost whatever 'touch' that I had. Give me a hand here guys.

| Humour: | 8 | The beginning was a little hit or miss, to be honest. Sure, it takes a little while to build up, but then you get gems such as "Now that your topic is chosen, you’re going to start recording your First Amendment masterpiece." I found that to be quite funny. I didn't find it that funny when you continually play up vloggers as losers and such. Of course they are, we all know that. This article should tell the reader something he doesn't already know. I'm trying to say that some of these jokes, such as "Now that you’re familiar with the basics of making your own video blog, lets get down to actually producing it – you loser!" Cut off the "you loser!" part of it, because remember that we're trying to encourage the reader to start his own vlog. The best satire lies with subtle humor, not blunt, blatant attacks. On a different note, I will say that the three examples at the end made for an amazing finish to this article. They're just so random and so sad. Nice work finding them. |
| Concept: | 7 | HowTo:s seem to be on the decline. That may be because having an original concept and a creative format is hard to do with a HowTo:. While this is a perfectly fine article, this concept is in no way original, meaning it can't earn anything over a 7 from me. (by Cajek's scale, a 7 is adequate but not outstanding) The only way to increase this score would be a total rewrite, which I am not suggesting. I'm merely saying that, when it comes to concept, this is nothing new. |
| Prose and formatting: | 7 | I want you to proofread this (or get someone else to, mainly just make it someone that isn't me) and pay attention to your comma use. Here's an example. "For some, a vlog is a window to the outside world..." I think I spotted a few others like this on my initial read-through, but I can't be bothered to fix them right now. That's your job. =D The formatting seems good, I know that you have a lot going on here with videos, images, and other assorted jarble, but it all comes together pretty nicely to make a pretty sexy article. |
| Images: | 9 | This topic requires a very visual article, something you have accomplished quite nicely. I can't see much room for improvement here. Very nice choices in pictures, good captions, and I guess I can once again comment on those lovely videos at the bottom. I usually can't stand having YouTube videos embedded in articles, but obviously an article like this requires their usage. Good job in this department. |

| Final Score: | 38.8 | Overall, I'd say this is a great article as is. Not quite up to 40 range, which is where all the VFH articles are, but a 38.8 is nothing to be ashamed of. With a little bit of work, this article could shine. If you want, go ahead and tinker with this for a bit and then resubmit it to be reviewed. I'd be more than happy to re-review it, or if you want a fresh perspective, it won't hurt my feelings if you would rather someone else do it. Good luck with this article! |
