Failure University

This is a rewrite I did for Guildy's Underwear Shop. Comments for further improvement welcomed. T. (talk) 16:26, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Humour:	6.5	Interesting idea, Todd- I like the idea of a University for screw-ups, and I think it has a lot of potential. However, the main problem is that you don't really capitalize on your concept. You've got some good ideas, and a relatively good article, but I think you could really do wonders if you expanded. Talk about the kidns of classes at the Universiy, the different fraterneties, what kinds of teachers there are and the qualifications to become one, etc. You also might want to credit famous people as students of failure university, and what they learned while they were there. Also, your joke tends to repeat itself, what with the play on words and such. You might to spice up your direction a bit, which i'll get into in the section below.
Concept:	8.5	A very good idea, and one that can be made into a feature it you work it right. You've got a good, encyclopedia tone, so it should be easy to expand. If you wanted, however, you change the way you write your article in a few sections. For example, you could write a letter of recommendation to the university, or a fictional speech about the university. There's a lot of different ways you can do this, so spend some time on the article.
Prose and formatting:	7.5	There are no major problems, and you've got your spelling right, but I think you need to work on the placement of your images. Right now, it seems a bit uneven, so I think you should work on expanding your sections and adding a few more. Your step-by-step instructions is also a bit listy, so you might want to mess around with that last section, or possibly make it into a paragraph.
Images:	7	Decent; they illustrate your subject well. If you wanted to add a few more images to it, perhaps a picture of one of the dorms, or a photograph of a professor could work.
Miscellaneous:	7	My overall grade of the article.
Final Score:	36.5	You've got a soldi concept, and a good article. However, I think if you work on it some more, and expand it so that includes all the parts of a college, it could be feature material. To recap: include some of the things that are common in colleges, maybe give some details about the people who attended it, and other things along those lines. Bottom line: Expand on your idea some more, work on it to develop your concept. Good luck! =)
