Bank Letter[edit source]
Short article, but hopefully still funny. Hope you enjoy:)--Sycamore (Talk) 18:08, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Humour: | 8 | I thought this was funny. A great illustration of the classic slacker mentality. Mr. Doe's situation is of course the fault of ruthless capitalist fatcats. But it wasn't "laugh until you cry funny". I'm not sure if there's anything you could do to up the intensity of the humor with this letter, because it's a wry sort of humor. |
Concept: | 8 | The concept is good, It's one of those things we'd all like to send to our bank. Those bastards. At the same time the blame-dodging mindset of the writer is clearly and cleverly shown. But once again it's not super-funny. The concept in itself is appealing because we get to see the writer try and squirm out of this. However it's a concept we've all seen a hundred times. Not that there's anything wrong with that. |
Prose and formatting: | 9 | Prose was very good. An excellent job of creating a voice and personality for the John Doe. It's the tone I think everyone would like to take with their bank. |
Images: | 7 | A letter wouldn't really need a picture. In it's current form I don't know if a picture would help at all. It is a little bare though. |
Miscellaneous: | 8 | avg |
Final Score: | 40 | Don't know what else to say. It's funny, just a quiet enjoyment kind of funny. I think you've accomplished what you set out to do with it. |
