| Humour: | 8.1 | Good! Well written humor and i appreciate that it isn't just absurdist or overly parodist like so many articles... (most of mine). Its more subtle and calm which is a nice change of pace. Not AS engaging (our brains like quick and dumb humor generally), but it'll do nicely. |
| Concept: | 9.69 | About time someone said the things we all wanted to say about Aphex Twin online without being harassed for insulting the self proclaimed king of Shopping Mall music. Solid idea to have him as a psychopath communicating weird shit through his music, wouldn't be surprised if this was all real........ |
| Prose and formatting: | 6 | mainly because in the section labeled "legacy" theres a pretty wacky syntax error that even I couldn't figure out how to fix or what it was trying to say. i also could be just really stupid and this was intentional, but that wouldn't quite fit with the theme. I think. There's also a whole bunch of random grammatical oopsies, easily fixable so no biggie really, but does need to get done. Possibly add some more links as well, they kind of shut off half way thru the article. The more links, the more traffic, and the longer us weirdos spend going down rabbit holes! |
| Images: | 8.44 | images are fine, nothing too crazy but they do help with the narration of the overall article so I can't complain. I'm just a photoshop addict so it breaks my heart to see relatively untouched photos. HOWEVER the "spectrogram face" image had me dying laughing mostly bc it worked so well with the caption. My humor is baked atp but yeah, A+ for that |
| Miscellaneous: | 7.3 | Last idea: make use of the citation function to add some brief funny explanations or alternative explanations for some parts. Citations are a fun way to add a little dash of "hidden" humor that can really elevate a part, and work like an author's note without having to actually say "in my opinion" or "author's note." So yeah! A few fixes and you're cruising to the moon! or the dumpster, wherever it is you wanna go with this. |
