Brooke Shields (born May 31, 1965) is an American actress, model and author. Some of her better-known and most controversial movies include Pretty Baby, where she plays a 12-year-old girl who lives in a brothel with her prostitute mother, and The Blue Lagoon, where she plays a 14-year-old girl who lives on an island with her lover-brother. She also starred in TV shows such as Suddenly Susan, where she portrays an instantly transforming transsexual superhero, and in Lipstick Jungle, which features cat fighting.
Born Christa Brooke Camille Lolita Shields, her career as a nude child model began in 1966 at the age of 11 months. She continued as a successful nude model with agent Eileen Ford, whose previous exploits included raising the horseless carriage to superstardom.
