UnNews talk:Obama cancels Christmas

This one needs more: Make it read more like news (in the first line, "Obama" and "GOP" are too informal). Consider a "Grinch" photo Shoop. Don't spend so much time fleshing out Obama-as-miser, take it in some new directions. For example:

• Compare the $5 billion savings to the $700 billion "stimulus" spending
• Drop the line that the GOP is supporting the move. The GOP, of course, is more miserly, stupider, and reflexively against Obama. Pursue other "savings," not merely through analogy (cancel Easter) but through absurdity (furlough border guards one day a week?). It's always nice to make both parties look bad, not that they need our help.
• The AP wire contains additional groups the "freeze" doesn't apply to--notably, Congressmen and their staffs. And it doesn't freeze any person's pay; they still get normal raises as they move through the pay table and advance in pay grade. So in some ways, the news is still funnier than the UnNews.
