Lucky Star, as one of the anime that sparked the Japan moe craze, carries not just simple slice of life scenes, but also many otaku and otaku girls alike. Moreover, Lucky Star served as a gateway to Cosplay—watching the characters portrayed with such bone-deep dedication would open the door to cosplay for anyone!
And Uncyclopedia, as a parody public toilet encyclopedia and spoof encyclopedia, carries not only wit and humor but also the hard work of many contributors. It's a childhood memory for many—when you feel tired, open Uncyclopedia, and your mood instantly lifts!
Interestingly, neither can be replaced today. Each represents a glorious era, yet sadly, as time passes, both have become tears of the past... How many still remember the brilliance they once co-created? Do they recall how fiercely they were once reported on?
Fortunately, today our special correspondent at the Anime Lucky Star branch received an invitation from Aisaka Kouta. She invited the reporter to visit the Cake buffet shop for afternoon tea and cake alongside Aisaka Kouta, Kagami Hiiragi, and Tsukasa Hiiragi! The reporter seized this opportunity to exchange views with them about Uncyclopedia, while also sharing his perspectives on Lucky Star. Below is the full transcript of the interview—let's dive in!

- Reporter: So, what’s your favorite kind of cake, guys?
- Konata: Chocolate, duh! Sweet with a hint of bitter—it’s, like, totally perfect!
- Kagami: No way, you’re so wrong! Strawberry’s the best—sweet and tangy, who doesn’t love that?
- Tsukasa: Um… don’t fight, okay? I like sponge cake. It’s got that nice eggy flavor and doesn’t get old. Right?
- Reporter: Why not just order them all? It’s a buffet, so you gotta try every kind to make it worth it!
- Other three: Sweet!

- Konata: Yo, you eating all that… enough for ya?
- Reporter: Me? Plenty, plenty! I only ordered five kinds, one slice each. Gotta save room for other stuff, y’know!
- Kagami: Not a single slice goes to waste, got it?
- Tsukasa: Calorie explosion… If I eat this for afternoon tea, there goes a week of dieting…
- Reporter: Whatever! This is making my mouth water—let’s dig in!

- Four: Time to eat!

- Konata: The cream’s perfectly made! Milky but not heavy—nice!
- Tsukasa: So smooth~ One bite, and it just lingers!
- Reporter: You guys sure know how to pick a cake shop! How do they nail this balance? I can’t stop eating!
- Kagami: Tch… i-it’s just… normal cake, okay? What’s so great about it?

（The reporter, munching on cake, pulls a lightweight laptop from their bag, opens Uncyclopedia’s homepage, and sets it on the table for the other three to see）
- Reporter: Oh, by the way… you guys ever heard of Uncyclopedia?
- Tsukasa: Huh? What’s that?
- Kagami: Why does that name sound so much like Wikipedia?
- Konata: Oh, wait, I remember! As a proud otaku, I was looking up some stuff once and stumbled on Uncyclopedia. Clicked in, and bam—mind blown! The super serious anime stuff on Wikipedia? Totally chill and hilarious there. I got sucked in for, like, ten minutes!

- Tsukasa: W-Wait a sec, what’s this!? Unnews: Thief robbing stores across Japan arrested!? Why’s it me!? “The thief’s blue-purple eyes were glazed, like an addict in withdrawal, muttering the same word over and over.” Grape vinegar addiction!?
- Konata: Hahaha! Tsukasa, you’ve been up to some wild stuff!
- Kagami: No way… my sister would never—pfft, hahaha! I can’t, my stomach hurts from laughing!
- Konata: Whoa! They’ve got Touhou Project, Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, Sgt. Frog—all the classics! These editors are hardcore!
- Kagami: Totally goes with the meal.
- Tsukasa: Imagining myself addicted to grape vinegar… I won’t sleep tonight!

- Reporter: Man, your art style is just too cute! Even in 5202, it’s still so ahead of its time!
- Kagami: Geez, saying that makes us kinda embarrassed!
- Konata: It’s just the artists being lazy and drawing us all chibi-style, y’know~
- Tsukasa: But I bet the artists didn’t expect this to be the gateway for otakus! Total win-win!
- Reporter: Plus, you guys homage a ton of iconic anime scenes! I even saw Kagami cosplaying Hatsune Miku!
- Konata: Half the credit’s mine, you know~
- Kagami: W-Well… I didn’t expect to get so popular either. Thanks to Konata, I got to cosplay all those famous scenes…
- Tsukasa: We don’t have that hot-blooded shonen drama, but we’ve got real, chill everyday life!
- Reporter: Exactly! Anime doesn’t always need to be all intense. Sometimes kicking back like this is the best!
