You've been walking for a couple of hours, and Mount Shasta is still out of sight. It's gonna be a long way. You reach a town called Shasta Lake, but there is no sign of a lake nearby. You do, however, encounter Jacques Noir, who is on the run from the Moccasinian police. He's going under the codename of "Lake".

Well, "Lake" just noticed your moccasins. He now wants those moccasins! ALL of them! He's about to try and snatch 'em.
