There's no many CookBooks on the Unbooks category, so i decided to give it a try. It may need some finishing touches.--DAME :: FoxyBabe :: TALK 14:31, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Humour: | 4 | Ok, there were a few laughs there, but way too many poop jokes. |
Concept: | 6 | I'm a bit ambivalent concerning the concept. On the one hand, ethnic food that looks like shit, that's a knee-slapper right there, (but the Finland article's done it already); on the other hand, we are talking about Arabs, so maybe their cuisine should reflect the stereotypes placed on them, rather than just plain feces, which can be done for basically anything. Are kaftas served with a side order of grenade dumplings? How bout some Jih-ade? Thermite cookies, anyone? You get the idea... |
Prose and formatting: | 4 | The styling was a bit awkward at some points. Some sentences were downright grammatically-incorrect. "So the result is always to appear as a muddy emptied battlefield." I mean, I know what you meant, but it kinda sounds like it was written in haste or by a twelve-year old Mexican immigrant (are you one?). Most of the prose is good and consistent, though. |
Images: | 6 | The images were good. Make the captions funnier, if anything. |
Miscellaneous: | 6 | Ethnic jokes, especially about Arabs, can be hilarious (unless taken too far; I should know). The subject has potential, you just need to take a different approach about it. |
Final Score: | 26 | It doesn't need a rewrite or anything drastic, just--as you said--some finishing touches. Oh yeah, and please cut the poop jokes. |
