      • Some time ago the opening line was: Charles Dickens, also known as Charles Dickhead... That was a killer line! Change it back please :) ***

The first part was funny. Then it devolves into madness and RH, which I hate. Judgement 13:20, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

Much better, no? Judgement 02:18, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Is it just me, or is this long? I forgot to read it. I will though, offline. It's probably good. --Jesus Freak Atheist 23:07, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

That's because people butchered my work! I must fix! --Sir Judgement F@H UmP VFH {talk} 00:51, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

It was featured for a reason, people. Unless you have something funny to add, don't touch it. Thanks. --Sir Judgement F@H UmP VFH {talk} 01:02, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

From Pee Review[edit source]

Not my first article, but my first that is written as a "style joke". Let me know what you think. Again, it's my first article of this kind, so don't be afraid to be brutal. --Judgement 02:22, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Humour: 8 As a style joke, it is subtle humour. The bit about pimping is a bit strange.
Concept: 9 Great concept; I like how you captured the squalored circumstances in his work. Maybe it would be funnier if you transposed him into more of these.
Prose and formatting: 9 Nearly flawless. Note, however, that 'droll' means comedic.
Images: 10 I am unqualified to comment on images.
Miscellaneous: 10
Final Score: 46

Humour: 8 As said before, it's subtle, but I like it. The Dickensian trait of reiterating-the-bleeding-obvious lives on. Lines like "as he is a man (a fact which I need not reiterate, as it is quite obvious given his gender)" work. And I found the line "the reader, being a man (for this is most likely the case)" hilarious.
Concept: 8 The concept is good and well executed. The attempt at writing in a Dickensian way is carried out well. Although I also feel the bit about pimping strays from the theme...
Prose and formatting: 9 The long sentances and heavy usage of comas is brilliant, adding to the "long and lugubrious" Dickensian style very well.
Images: 7 I think the top and bottom images are used to great effect. But I feel that the image used in the "writing career" section adds little. I'd suggest replacing it. (I've put an image here[1] - could say something about a incredibly long reading session causing an audience member to commit suicide or whatever).
Miscellaneous: 10 -
Final Score: 42 A well written article with good subtle humour. Nice work.

Subtleness by stating the obvious. How ironic..81.232.114.123 20:29, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Dickens head[edit source]

Who wrote that first paragraph so perfectily in the rambleing talking style of Dickens? It's absolutely spot on.--Crestville 16:35, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

I wrote it. As a matter of fact, I wrote the entire article. Happy things! :D -- Sir Judgement F@H UmP VFH {talk} 03:11, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

This makes me happy.[edit source]

I've been reading Dickens for school, and this incredibly accurate depiction of him just makes me giggle, even though I'm sure it might fly over a few people's head. Honestly, I've become so used to his rambling and run on sentences that I hardly notice what is wrong with it anymore D: Thanks for a laugh anyways --Johnfn 01:32, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
