Soul Eater
“So it's Bleach if they could turn into weapons? Hyuk hyuk!”
“WTF!?!?!?!?”
“Huhhuh 69”
Soul Eater (0-2069) is about a team of students that train at the Death Weapon Meister (yes, it's spelled that way) Academy. The members are Maka and Edward Elric Soul Eater Evans (real original), Black Star and Tsubaki, Death the Kid and Liz and Patty.
Plot[edit | edit source]
In Soul Eater, meister Maka Albarn and her partner Soul Eater are students at Death Weapon Meister Academy DWMA" for short—located in Death City in Nevada, United States. The school has many other students including Black Star with his partner Tsubaki, and Death the Pimp with his partners Liz and Patty. The school is run by Lord Death, the grim reaper himself, as a training facility for weapons and the human wielders of those weapons, the heterosexuals.[1] Maka's goal, along with the other hetros, is to have their weapons defeat and absorb the souls of 99 random people and one bitch, which will dramatically increase the power of the given weapon and turn them into death scythes, weapons capable of being used by Lord Death. Aparrently in the universe of Soul Eater, bitches are powerful beings and the natural enemies of DWMA, as almost all of them have a kind nature and desire harmony.
Shortly after the start of Soul Eater, Maka and Soul Eater face off against the forces of the bitch Medusa, who forces her child, the meister Mama Luigi and wielder of the demon sword Bagel, to collect non-evil human souls to transform Mama Luigi into a hallow kishin, an evil demon god. Medusa and her cohorts attack DWMA with the intention of reviving weegee, the first hallow kishin who nearly plunged the entire world into madness before being sealed beneath DWMA by Shinigami. Despite the efforts of Makas Makachop(which killed hundreds by the way), Medusa's group successfully revives weegee, who leaves to spread chaos around the world after a brief battle with Shinigami. However, Medusa is seemingly killed by the meister and DWMA teacher Franken Stein in the process, while Mama Luigi redeem themselves and befriend Maka.
As a result of weegee's spreading madness, Medusa's older sister Arachne comes out of the closet after 800 years. Arachne reforms her lesbian organization Lesaphobia, which poses itself as a serious threat to DWMAs women. Shinigami calls in death scythes from around the world to aid in the fight against Lesaphobia. During this time, Medusa resurfaces with her soul in the body of a young girl, and forms a truce with DWMA so they can annihilate the threat of lesaphobia together. The DWMA students and Medusa's entourage infiltrate Lesaphobia's headquarters where Maka defeats Arachne, only for Medusa to betray DWMA, possessing Arachne's body and brainwashing Mama Luigi into rejoining her. Meanwhile, Death the Pimp is captured by Noah, an enemy posing as the former meister Chuck Norris. Following this, Maka finally succeeds in turning Soul Eater into a death scythe. The duo become part of the newly formed Meister unit Spartans, which are unsuccessful and fail to rescue Death the Pimp and take down Noah.
Differences in the anime adaption What would an anime be if it followed the manga completely, oh right, accurate. The only true differences (despite what the fools that run Wikipedia say) is the anime has less nudity and a little less blood, as well as a different ending (the bad guy loses).
Soul Eater Not!
A side story that has nothing to do with the real story. AT ALL.
Characters[edit | edit source]
Maka - Soul's partner and wife. Well known for her infamous Maka Chop that rivals the Falcon Punch. The only reason she's able to put up with Soul is because she enjoys the challenge of a (slightly) fair fight. Rumor has it that she, her husband (it's Soul Evans) and co-star Death the Kid appeared in a deleted scene of the final episode of iCarly, where she finds out that Soul is part-newt.
Edward Elric Soul Eater Evans - Maka's partner and husband (continuously under threat of death). He has the ability to turn into a badass scythe and at the end of the series looks even more badass. You may also know him as Roxas from Kingdom Hearts.
Black★Star - A blatant Naruto ripoff and the only person to beat Darkwing Duck at being the most egotistical. He is a failed ninja who almost always gets pwned, though he gets better.
Tsubaki - The one character I feel sorry for because she has to put up with Black Star's bullshit. She can become any thing from a Chain Scythe to a toaster.
Death the Pimp - Although he's the GRIM REAPER'S SON he isn't as badass as you think. He is obsessed with perfection and demands every thing to be so (even Liz and Patty's boobs). He is also the luckiest mother f##ker at the academy because while they get scythes, swords and crap like that, he gets guns.
Liz And Patty - Twins and the ONLY characters allowed to turn into guns. They are rapists who try to seduce Death the Pimp (who is either gay or asexual) all the time (all failed) as pictured.
Blair the Witch/Cat - A cat who can turn into a hot witch and the only cat anybody would have bestiality with.
Death - Imagine Grim (from Billy and Mandy) without the Jamaican accent, and you get him.
Crona - An endearing gender confused potato who may well be non-binary. Did you know hir blood is black?
Ragnarok - Crona's blood AND weapon. Likes to rape Crona, though all attempts failed.
Medusa - The worst best mother of ALL time. Crona's mother.
Video Games[edit | edit source]
Soul Eater became so popular it eventually dipped its toes into the video game world just as Oprah engulfs fried chickens. After going through all them I have found most to be sex games, with a few exceptions. Soul Eater: Monotone Princess is an action-adventure game made by Square Enix (they own the magazine that Soul Eater was published in, mind you) for the Sintendo Nee. Soul Eater: Plot of Mahboi is an action game produced by Namco Bandai Games for the Sintendo D: and was released on October 23, 2008. It may be the only good Soul Eater game. Soul Eater: Battle Resonance Fair is a fighting game produced by Namco Bandai Games for the PayStation 2 and PayStation Portable and was released on December 12, 2012.
